SriLankan Airlines are Travel Trade Swimming Champs again

SriLankan Airlines retained the crown at the Travel Trade Swimming Meet for an incredible 18th consecutive year.The National Carrier compiled a total of 124 points, a staggering 96 points ahead of Runners-up Cinnamon Grand which had 28. Confifi Hotels were 2nd Runners-up with 25 points.

Thirteen teams, including some of the country’s well-known swimmers, took part in the 26th annual meet which was held at D.S. Senanayake College Pool.

SriLankan Airlines’ women’s swimmers were particularly impressive, sweeping aside all opposition. In addition to the Overall Championship, the National Carrier’s swimmers won three individual categories – Ushadini Mahalingam in the Women’s Novices, Mahesha Tennekoon in the women’s championship, ,and Soraya Hassen in the Women’s Veterans.
