Mano Ramanathan, new member of the Monetary Board

Ms Manohari Ramanathan, Attorney at Law and a retired Senior Deputy Legal Draftsman, has been appointed as a member of the Monetary Board, the Central Bank said this week.
Ramanathan had a distinguished career in the Legal Draftsman’s Department from which she retired in July 2006. She has been extensively involved in drafting major legislation in Sri Lanka and also worked in the Indian Parliament in New Delhi and in the Law Drafting Division of the Department of Justice in Hong Kong. She is the widow of the late P. Ramanathan, former Justice of the Supreme Court and Governor of the Western Province. |
