'Ridi Reyak' continues for the fifth year

'Ridi Reyak’ that has come to be known as the most popular star concert ever, consisting of popular film songs, dances and sequences presented by the popular film stars of Sri Lanka will be staged again in grand style at the BMICH on Saturday, December 22 for the 5th consecutive year.

The increasing popularity of this show, which has entertained and enthralled hundreds of thousands of Sri Lankans over the last five years, will bring the new additions for the year 2007. Re-enacting the immortal and most popular film songs and dances combined with Channa Wijewardane's choreography and breathtaking visual effects, has thrilled the audiences with a new kind of entertainment that they have not experience or enjoyed before.

The Cine Star Foundation, which represents the largest group of film artistes under one banner numbering over 300, annually spends over Rs. 3 million as its Life and Health insurance premium. Securing all financial resources for this insurance scheme is made possible by artistes, who voluntarily perform in Ridi Reyak for no gain or reward, but purely for the benefit and welfare of their fellow artistes, 'Ridi Reyak', has not only provided unprecedented entertainment to our local and international audiences, but has also become the main funding source for the services granted to its membership by the Cine Star foundation.
