Claude’s new voice training class

Christmas carols sung by 'King Claude' Fernando with Broadway singers will be held at the Galadari Hotel from 22 - 24 December 22 to 24 from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm. 'King Claude Singers' will feature at several other functions during this festive period and he is keen on expanding his group of Broadway singers.

'King' Claude Fernando will start a voice training class in Colombo commencing January 6. Claude's voice training class has been held at his music studio at Boralesgamuwa for many years, but many students who love to join have found the distance too far.

The new location in 'Global Fitness Center', Jawatte Avenue off Jawatte Road, Colombo 7, close to Rupavahini and main bus routes, and easily accessible from anywhere. While many voice training classes are of an hour's duration, Claude feels that this time is insufficient for a complete lesson, and his class will be for one and a half hours every Sunday evening from 5.00-6.30 p.m.

Claude, with 37 years of teaching experience behind him uses the best traditional methods as well as many of his own methods, devised to improve the singing skills of his students in a more interesting way, and in the shortest time. He also covers a wide range of songs in his class, ranging from Broadway, Semi-classics, movie songs, Jazz and popular favourites, and offers his students opportunities to sing them on stage, radio and CD.

Claude does not believe in over-loading his class, and will keep the number of students down to a manageable level where every student can be seen to. His plans for 2008 include the forming of the 'King Claude Singers' who intend to be among the best, and make it to the International choir Olympics one day.
