Sri Lanka Ceremics Council re-elects Warnakulasooriya

Dayasiri Warnakulasooriya, Chairman/ Managing Director of Midaya Ceramic Co, Ltd., was re-elected as the President of the Sri Lanka Ceramics Council, at its 5th Annual General Meeting held in Colombo recently.

Sunil Wijesinha, Chairman /Managing Directorof Dankotuwa Porcelain Ltd., will serve on the Board of Management, as the Immediate Past President. The rest of the Board Members for the year 2008/2009 are as follows:

– Mahendra Jayasekera, Managing Director, Lanka Tiles Ltd - Vice President
– K Nakanishi, Deputy Director & Managing Director, Noritake Lanka Porcelain (Pvt) Ltd - Hony. Treasurer
– Niranjan Jayawickrama, General Manager, Lanka Walltiles Ltd. – Hony. Secretary

The council represents tableware, tiles, wall,tiles, roofing tiles and ornamental-ware manufacturers.
