HP said last week it has extended its lead position in the PC market over its closest competitor in Sri Lanka with 17.7% share of total PC shipments according to results from the third calendar quarter of 2007 released by the Springboard report.
In the notebook segment, HP saw its year on year market share increase from 19.4% in Q3 2006 to 35.8% in Q3 2007, registering an outstanding annual growth rate of 157.2% year-on-year, HP said in a press release.
“HP’s focus on delivering the best customer experience while optimizing its business model, targeting specific segments and delivering innovation that matters is driving growth and market share gain,“ said Prasenjit Sarkar, General Manager, Personal Systems Group and Solution Partners Organization, in a recent presentation in Colombo.
