Star performers felicitated at Eagle’s General Insurance Sales Convention

Eagle Insurance recently felicitated their General Insurance sales professionals at the Eagle General Insurance Sales Convention 2007. The Convention was held at Hilton, Colombo and Chief Guest at the event was Mr. Kishu Gomes – CEO, Chevron Lanka.
Mahesh Jayawarna from the Colombo office was adjudged “Best Team Manager” while D. P. K. Samarawickrama from the Matara office was awarded “Best Senior Business Development Associate.” Lankanatha Meegahapola, from the Colombo office won the award for “Best Business Development Executive”.

17 High Achievers walked away with the “Higher Achievement Awards” while the “Achievement Awards” were presented to 12 star performers.

Eagle’s Managing Director, Mr. Deepal Sooriyaarachchi in his address congratulated the winners and emphasised the importance of integrity; Mr Sooriyaarachchi counted integrity as one of the most important aspects in one's life. Speaking at length on the subject of trust, he described trust as something very fundamental and vital for survival.

"Trust is shattered when promises are not met", he stressed. "You make a promise because you have the capability. Have a plan of action to keep to that promise. And keep monitoring to see that the promise is met." he continued.

Addressing the Eagle Insurance Advisors, in the audience, Chief Guest Mr. Kishu Gomes, highlighted the importance of customers and commented,”Keep giving customers more and more reason to buy. Differentiate in a way that is relevant to the Customer.” He also advised the sales force saying “We all work to earn a living. Grow your personal income by delivering greater value to the organization. Keep adding knowledge and skills to yourself and differentiate performance in a way that creates greater value for the business.” Touching on the importance of the sales function he added “The sales job is the most important job in a business. I also believe that the front line is the bottom line in business, since it brings in profits to the organization.”
