Asiri proves a point

Well-known schoolboy cricketer Asiri Amerasinghe of Kingswood has obtained three A's in commerce subjects at the advanced level exam. Asiri's District rank is 23 and is more or less certain of entering the University.

Asiri, a right arm leggie and batsman. Captained the Kandy District team at junior level. His leg breaks were forgotten as he turned out to be a powerful striker of the ball. He played first XI cricket for six long years and led the team in 2006/07.Asiri' success shows, that unlike oil and water, sports and studies do mix.
