Maheswaran condolence vote on Friday in Parliament

Parliament will take up the condolence vote on slain UNP Parliamentarian T.Maheswaran on Friday during the new year’s first session of the House. On Tuesday Parliament will debate the extension of the emergency by another month while two defence related Bills are scheduled to be taken up for debate during the week.

The two bills are the Defence Services Command and Staff College Bill for the setting up of a Defence College and the Api Wenuwen Api Fund Bill which seeks to create a Fund to meet the housing needs of security forces personnel.
