Rituals come alive for New Year

The traditional rituals of the Ginimadhu Ulela and the Maha Deva Dhanaya, were held at the Gothatuwa, Elhena Ratnasara Viharaya under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent Ven. Thihagoda Baddhiya Thera, on December 30 and 31, to bless the New Year. The rituals included fire-walking and the Daha Ata Sanniya and concluded with the offering of the Maha Dhanaya.
