Planning ahead for ‘Season 3’

I thank the writer (Mr. Bernard Fernando) for his comments and observations on my letter in the November 11th TV Times. The writer has elaborated and labeled his thinking as "Fairness and Equity" and this concept has cleared some misconceptions I had.
However, I am unable to comprehend as to how the writer plans to exactly select 25 males and 25 females on equal gender basis. In a hypothetical case, if the panel of judges selects on merit, 30 males and 20 females, then are the judges to drop 5 males from the winners' group and include 5 females from the losers' group in order to maintain gender equity? This needs clarification.

With the colossal amount of letters written on Super Star Seasons, the organizers now will have to sit down and collate the data. Also some writers who came out with novel ideas can be invited to a panel. Once again I thank the editor for giving me space to air my views.
