Life goes on, though never the same
Thivanke Premaratne
Dearest son,
Today completes two sorrowful years of untold pain
Since that fateful day you left us all,
Plunged in deep sorrow.
Our hearts started bleeding then, and
Will continue to do so till we depart from this world.
Never ever in our wildest dreams, did we
Imagine such a fate awaited us that day.
But life is so unpredictable,
So preached our Great Lord Buddha.
Your untimely demise has thus proven to us,
The truth of this great Dhamma,
So pure in the beginning, the middle and the end.
Proven beyond doubt, the uncertainty of life.
Life has to go on despite it all.
Yes, life does go on, though never the same.
You were a tower of strength to us all,
We, your parents and brother
Live for your beautiful family
A loving wife- so young, and
Two beautiful daughters, you adored.
Santushi, a picture of you and
Little Nanga, quite unaware of what had happened,
Such sweet innocence.
We know how much you would have wanted,
To see them grow and be a part of their lives.
But sadly that was not meant to be,
Destiny dealt a cruel blow,
Shattering all our dreams.
May the merits acquired by all the good deeds done in your name,
Help you to end your cycle of births and deaths in samsara.
May you attain the supreme bliss of Nirvana.
Your everloving
