Teenage Tiger suspect nabbed

A 19-year-old youth who is reported to have undergone LTTE training was arrested by the Borella police on a tip-off. The youth hailing from the east had arrived in Colombo to stay with his mother who had obtained employment in a cleaning service company of a government hospital. The youth too had made an attempt to gain employment there.

Borella Community Police Sub Inspector Gamini Thilakasiri who made the arrest said investigations revealed that he had joined the organization as a child soldier when he was in Grade Eight. Borealla police OIC G.P.S. Jayamaha and Crime OIC Gamini Hewavithana are directing investigations.
