Top shipping expert to address Asian shipping meet

Dr Parakrama Dissanayake, Chairman/Chief Executive of Aitken Spence Maritime who serves as an Advisor to the Terminal Operators Conference (UK), has been invited to deliver a paper at the prestigious TOC Asia Conference in Shanghai on “State Owned Port Operators – Increasing Productivity and Efficiency without Privatisation” on Wednesday March 19.

Amongst those who would address this conference are Dr. Fu Yuning, President, China Merchants Group Ltd, Kuah Boon Wee, CEO- South East Asia & Singapore Terminals - PSA International, John Elliott, CEO – Asia Container Terminals Ltd. and Mr. Kim Gadegaard, Vice President, APM Terminals, Dissanayake said. Dissanayake is also Managing Director / CEO of Port Management Container Services (South Africa), where Aitken Spence has pioneered projects on Container Port Efficiency Enhancement. He is a former Chairman of Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics, former Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority and Jaya Container Terminals, Past Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers – Sri Lanka.
