State Awards for TV talents

Titus Totawatte

A State Tele Award Festival, to promote quality TV productions, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs will be held on March 17 at 6 pm at the BMICH.

At this third festival, veteran artiste Titus Totawatte will be felicitated with a lifetime award for his contribution to the television industry in the country. Selection will be made from 342 programmes which include feature teledramas, one episodic dramas, educational, cultural, aesthetic and entertainment programmes that had completed the telecast on or before December 31, 2006.

Fifty awards will be given on thirteen categories including Best serial teledrama, one episodic drama, documentary, musical, direction, acting, announcing, news casting, make up, art direction, music direction, camera, sound recording and creative advertisement.
