Life

Life is like a flowing river,
Or so I've heard…
Songs have it…
People say it…
So I believe it's true!

The water is our life,
Moving steadily onwards.
The rocks that the water crashes against,
Are the obstacles we meet
in life,
The river bank on either side,
Are our parents,
guiding us,in the right path,
The streams that join
the river,
Are the blessings we receive,
Which make us stronger people.

And finally, when the river joins the sea,
Symbolizes where our life ends,
When we re-unite,
With all the people we had to say good-bye to,
Because all rivers
eventually join the sea…
