St Joseph's take on Ananda today

St Joseph's and Ananda will lock horns in a Singer inter-school Division 1B rugby league encounter at Longden Place today. The kick off has been scheduled for 4.45 p.m. The two teams coming out for the first time and will be aiming to start off the season on a winning note. The Joes will be led by burly fourth year coloursman and Number 8 Bhanuka Hegoda.

Ananda who were in the top division last season will be hoping to make amends after being demoted to the lower division this season.
Anandians are not going to be mere push overs as they too have top players in the calibre of N.S. Gunasinghe, H.M. Jayakody, Akila Ilmeshka, N.S. Fernando, K.D. Chandrasiri and K. Athauda along with some up and coming freshers to deliver the goods for them.-MSA
