Increase commission, urge fuel dealers

Petroleum dealers want the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to raise their commissions at least to 3% from 1.25-1.755%, which hasn’t been changed for awhile. Their association is writing to the Ministry of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development to issue a directive to the CPC to make this happen, due to rising costs like high electricity bills and wages of pump attendants.

This was one of the major grievances they raised at the 36th AGM of the Petroleum Dealers Association held yesterday. There are more than 1200 filling stations in the country.
