CATS sing along

"Cats sing along" organized by the Catamarans Sports Club, Moratuwa turned out to be an outstanding success. This event held on 30th March at Hotel Ran Mal, was a part of the Club's 60th anniversary celebrations and also helped to raise funds for their club development activities.

The programme began to the strains of the Cats song produced on a CD titled "Cats, singing on a Catamaran" sung by "Cats" members and their kinsfalk the lyrics of which depict the togetherness and family spirit of this great Club.

A large and distinguished crowd of sing-along lovers and "Cats" family members along with well wishers enjoyed nearly 3 hours of wonderful entertainment, which also included special vocal items dished out by a segment of the highly talented musical fraternity of the club. Music for the show was provided by the popular band "Super Pink & Purple."

No sooner the sing-along ended, the 'Cats' membership gathered and hosted a number of their family folk and well wishers at the club premises for a wonderful session of fellowship - to herald an unofficial soft opening of the ground floor of the new club house.

The sing-along was sponsored by Leeds International School (Pvt) Ltd an Overseas Student Placement Centre and was compered by Bevil Palihawadane.
