One killed 24 injured as Inter city rams into halted train at Ganemulla

At least one passenger was killed and 24 were injured when the Kandy bound Inter city train from Fort rammed into a slow train already stationed at Ganemulla at 4.15 pm today, railway officials said.

The train halted had left the Fort station earlier and was heading to Polgahawela.

The trains were derailed due to the accident.
