Colombo stocks plummet

Colombo stocks saw blue chips Colombo Dockyard Plc (CDL), Dialog and Commercial Bank fall on Monday triggering a sharp fall in the indices.

Commercial Bank lost Rs 2 to close at Rs 106 while Dialog was down 50 cents to Rs 8.50. CDL was down to Rs 1.75 to Rs 71.50 at market close. JKH which opened flat in the morning was up by 25 cents to close at Rs 86.50.

The All Share Index lost 23.52 points to 2,185.53 while the Milanka fell by 31.63 points to 2,452.62 at stock market close. The turnover was Rs 106 million.
