21 injured in grenade attack in Kattankudy town

Twenty one persons were injured and a motorcycle damaged in a grenade attack in Kattankudy town in the Batticaloa district a few minutes ago, Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

He said the incident occurred in the main bus stand.

Sixteen of the injured were trasferred to the Batticaloa hospital while six are receiving treatment at the Ariyampathi hospital.
