Colombo stocks hitting the dumps

Colombo stocks saw yet another indices drop on Tuesday morning with heavy trading in Dialog, Commercial Bank, Asiri Surgical Hospitals, CIC, Chevron Lubricants and Lanka IOC (LIOC) with all these shares contributed to the market’s fall, brokers said.
Dialog was 25 cents down to Rs 8.25, Commercial Bank was Rs 1 down to Rs 105, Asiri was 25 cents down to Rs 7, CIC was Rs 1.50 down to Rs 40, Chevron decreased Rs 3 to Rs 113 and Lanka IOC decreased 25 cents to stand at Rs 24.25 during the early hours. The All Share Index fell 27.08 points to 2,158.45 while the Milanka decreased 41.19 points to 2411.43 in the morning. The stock market turnover was Rs 31 million. |
