Grenade attack on TNA MPs house

Unidentified persons lobbed a hand grenade at TNA Ampara district MP, C. Chandraneru’s residence in Thirukkovil, last night causing damage to the house, Police said.

The MP was not in the residence and no injuries have been caused. The MPs mother has lodged a complaint in the Thirukkovil police.

The MP has made several attempts to resume public work in the district, but he has been opposed by TMVP factions. Earlier hartal campaigns were launched in protest against his return.
