Suspect in lady doctors' killing arrested

The suspect of the killing of a lady doctor W.D.Lakshmi Indunil in Hambantota was arrested by the Hambantota police in Unakuruwa village of Tangalle police division at 8.30am today.

The suspect Nihal Kumara, a soldier had committed the murder on October 29 and had escaped the area. A two–day extensive search operation by 10 police teams resulted in the arrest.

Hambantota police said that the suspect would be produced to courts.
