Colombo stocks index falls by over 4%, below 2000 level

The Colombo bourse on Friday sank by more than 4% (4.39%) as blue chips fell sharply across the board.

The All Share Index dropped by 88.41 points to break the 2,000 barrier for the second day running, to 1,924.69 while the Milanka lost 105.69 or 4.74% to 2,125.40. The turnover was Rs 182.4 million. .
