Shooting in Welikada, youth killed, mother injured

A 25 year old youth was killed and his mother was injured in a roadside shooting incident in the welikada area today morning, a police spokesman said.

Two persons on a motorcycle had opened fire.

The motive of the shooting was not known immediately.

The victim was identified as Dinesh Ranatunga. .
