SLAF Mi24 helicopters engage LTTE positions near Akkarayankulam Tank

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Mi24 attack helicopters engaged several LTTE positions resisting the advancing 57 Divsion, SLAF Spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said.

The attack was carried out 1.5 kilometers North of Akkarayankulam Tank at 5.30 pm today, he said.

It was confrimed that the targets were engaged accurately, he added.. .
