House of suicide bomber who attempted minister's life located

The boarding house where the suicide bomber involved in the attempt on Minister Maithripala Sirisena's life last week has been located in Wellawatta, police said.

The owner of the house, his wife and daughter have been detained for questioning.

The bomber had rented out the place for six months and had already stayed for four months by the time the attack took place.

The bomber failed to take the target, but two civilians were killed and seven others were injured.
