LTTE attack in Yala again

Suspected Tiger guerrillas ambushed a group of soldiers in the Yala Wild life park in Hambantota on Sunday morning, injuring at least one soldier, Police said.

The attack came less than 48 hours after one soldier was killed in a similar attack in the same area, Police said.

In Friday's incident soldiers were attacked in Block two of the park boarding the Menik ganga and at the time of the attack tourists were present in the block one area close to the location of the incident.

Visitors are not permitted to Block two.
