SC determines two clauses of the Appropriation Bill inconsistent: Speaker

Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara informed Parliament that the Supreme Court has determined that two of the clauses of the Appropriation Bill were inconsistent with the constitution.

The two clauses are related to the transfer of funds by the Finance Secretary.

The Appropriation Bill could be presented either amending or dropping the clauses. .
