Akkarayankulam village captured by Army: Military Spokesman

Akkarayankulam village in Killinochchi came under total government rule today morning following a 3-day heavy fighting, said Army Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.

He said that the village west of A-9 road was under LTTE rule for years and was captured by 57 th Division of the SL Army.

The Government Hospital, Akkarayankulam Maha Vidyalaya, Post Office of the village is now under the government rule. .
