Artistes hold Adhistana pooja in reaction to Indian protests

Artistes from various parts of the island held an “Adhistana Pooja” at the Independence square seeking that the Indian artistes who are protesting about the situation in the north may be more enlightened about the actual situation.

The artistes said they were not protesting against the recent events including street protests carried out by the Indian artists, but hope that they would be more enlightened about the situation.

The artistes lit oil lamps as part of the pooja. .
