Stay order on new TV regulations

The Supreme Court today issued a stay order on the Gazette notification on the new TV regulations.

The regulations would restrict the private television stations as well.

Media organizations earlier said that the regulations gives wide powers to the government to interpret the regulations in a manner wanted by them and thereby impose restrictions..
