Parliament condemns Mumbai terror attacks

Parliament strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Mumbai and stressed the need for a joint effort to eradicate the menace world wide.
Foreign minister Rohitha Bogollagama referred to the statement made by president Mahinda Rajapakse in which he spoke of the “ Urgent need for concerted action by all countries to eradicate terrorism.”
Opposition Leader Ramil Wickremasinghe too stressed the need for a joint effort to fig ht terrorism. “ We have to get to get her to fight terrorism but it cannot be Military commanders alone. The political and social economic problems have to be addressed at the same time he s aid.
JVP propaganda secretary Vijitha Herath condemned the attack and said this sort of incident strengthen the resolve of Sri Lanka to eradicate terrorism.. |
