Crude prices slump after marginal gains

World crude prices edged higher just for a day before sliding to $49.71 on Friday, the Central Bank said. On Thursday a barrel of Brent oil was trading at $50.

OPEC was being offered at $47.38. Petrol was trading at $42.45, diesel at $64.60 and kerosene at $70.05 in the Singapore Refined Products Market.
