Lanka faces economic war

Slowly but surely the curtain is falling on the Wanni theatre of battle. The Army has confined the guerrillas to a mere 19 square kilometres, including the civilian safety zone, near the coast of the Mullaitivu district. Whilst a nation readies for the National New Year, the coming days will see heavier battles before the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), lose one of their proudly touted claims.
