Institute of Administrative Management (IAM-UK), which has been the leading awarding body in Administrative Management since 1869 recently awarded their fellow membership award to Mr. Mohamed Siraz, Chairman of Metropolitan College (MC), Dehiwela.
He is the youngest recipient to have received this Outstanding Award, in recognition of his dedication and excellent services in the educational field. Young, energetic and full of enthusiasm: Mr. Siraz had completed his higher education in the UK. His contribution to professional development makes him one of the most powerful figureheads the IAM has ever witnessed.
Recognizing, further his services, the Association of Business Executives UK (ABE - UK) has also granted their Honorary Fellowship award to this distinguished recipient. ABE is an International Examining Body and provider of business and management qualifications; leading onto Degree in the fields of HR, Marketing, Financial and Travel & Tourism Management etc.
Mr. Siraz’s contribution has not only been immense but his breadth of influence has been unique. Everyone at the Association was endeared to a man of many talents, he was an Association man and would do everything in his power to promote and develop its activities.
An MBA holder and Postgraduate in Diploma in Management Studies, he is the founder chairman of Metropolitan College. With his vast experience in education it is fitting that he has been recognized as a fellow member of these two world leading Professional Institutions – a remarkable achievement by this outstanding young Sri Lankan.
His passion “Metropolitan College” based at Dudley Senanayake Mw, Dehiwela is a leading independent Institution that offers numerous good opportunities for all level of students to receive their higher educational qualifications diploma/higher diploma/degree and post graduate levels. The college offers courses ranging from Management, Leisure, Psychology, Social Sciences, Languages and Information Technology.
A former student of Zahira College - Colombo, his talents and contribution at school were an early indication of things to come later in his professional life. He served as deputy head prefect, college house captain and the president of many school societies, and won the best student award for 1993.
Mr. Siraz is the son of late Al Haj Meerasahib JP (Ferosa Travels - Saintha Maruthu) and Mrs. Balkis. |
