Mary Shamalee de Silva is a popular singer now based in Munich, Germany.
She was in Sri Lanka in December for the festive season and she perfomed at a Sri Lankan New Year’s bash after four long years.
Shamalee was in action at the Sea Shells Hotel in Negombo with the DJs. ‘I would say... In da Musicall career... I still love and enjoy performng in Sri Lanka specially during Christmas and New year Season... Coz it gives me a kind a feeling of back home in good old days............... in our Beautifull Paradise...’ she said ’I do perform with my brother in Geremany. Sometimes we get assingments in UAE, Maldives and in Switzerland...Holland and Belgium too. But my name goes as Mary for the European music scene’ she added.
’I sing English, German and few of Italian songs. Slows jazz, slow rocks, reaggae, blues, rock n Roll and Srilankan stuff...too’. |
