We hear a lot about indigenous people. Who are they? There are many definitions by numerous international organizations interested in the subject. Indigenous people have been described as inheritors and practitioners of unique cultures and ways of relating to other people and to the environment.

The visit to the village to see Seeya and Achchie is the favourite Avurudu trip for both Puncha and Panchie. After getting the blessings from the elders, the siblings ran to the garden to use the Avurudu onchillawa (swing) tied to a large kadju tree.
