India delays visit of Lankan delegation

India has asked Sri Lanka to delay the visit of a three-member official delegation to New Delhi for high level talks.

As a result, the team led by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa will leave on August 25. They were earlier expected to leave today.

Other members of the delegation are Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
