The third Annual Kidz Art Competition for children of the ages four to six years at Montessoris in and around Colombo, will take place on the 28th of April 2012. This event will be conducted at Wycherley International School, 232 Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07, commencing at 9.30 a.m.
 Development of Art, Music and Hand - Craft are gateways that cultivate a life long desire in the learning process of a child in this age group of four to six years, inspiring them into a life long journey to develop their full potential to contribute to the country and to the world at large. Wycherley believes in nurturing the little ones right from the start. This competition is bent on this development process of the child.
All the material needed for this event will be provided to the child. The topics for the competition have already been intimated to the Heads of the respective Montessoris. The little ones are sure to enjoy this event, with a surprise take home gift too. On the 12th of May 2012, the Awards Ceremony will be held in the Auditorium of Wycherley International School. An exhibition of the Art Work of the children too will be held on this day and at the close of this event, the little ones will be able to take home their cherished piece of Art Work.
A rich dimension to the students’ learning capabilities is what Wycherley is aiming at for all these little charges. Nurturing children is like tending young plants – and giving them the right impetus to start life in a colourful world. Art is the ‘magic wand’ that waves their impulses sky high. This Art Competition is intended to give the joy of childhood - and Wycherley for sure – knows its direction. |
