A special graduation ceremony hosted by BCAS Campus, Colombo for their partner university University of Wolverhampton was held Wednesday the 26th June 2013 at Hotel Ramada.

31 students who completed their Bachelor degrees with the University of Wolverhampton at BCAS Campus received their degree awards from the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Geoff Layer. Of them 19 students received Bachelor of Science with Honours in Quantity Surveying and 12 students received Bachelor of Laws with Honours

Besides the Vice Chancellor, the graduation ceremony was attended by Dean of School of Technology Professor Ndy Ekere, Dean of University of Wolverhampton Business School Dr Anthea Gregory and the Head of Academic Development, School of Technology Mr Phil Harris besides the Vice Chancellor, Chairman of BCAS Campus Mr M M Abdul Rahuman, Director of Academic Affairs Mr M C M Mafeel and the other senior Managerial and Academic Staff participated along with the parents of the graduands and well-wishers.
The UK University has a long standing relationship with BCAS Campus and this happens to be first ever Graduation day hosted by the BCAS campus for the university. The number of graduands is expected to double or treble next year with students graduating in more disciplines.

Professor Layer said: “We are proud of our relationship with BCAS Campus and the achievements of our students on the LLB (Hons) and the BSc (Hons) Quanitty Surveying. Graduation is always a special occasion for students and their families, and we’re looking forward to marking their successes and the strength of our partnership at this graduation ceremony.”

The UK University and BCAS Campus became partner institutions in 2005, and the delivery of the programme is part of Wolverhampton’s transnational education partnerships scheme. Many of the students go on to secure jobs in the Legal and Construction fields and work all over the globe.
