Building on its experiences with the MBBS, the University of Nicosia Medical School is now offering a 6-Year MD programme, a Master of Science in Family Medicine, a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Master of Science in Health Services Administration (MHSA) and a PhD in Medical Sciences.
The University of Nicosia has been named among the top universities according to the latest edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. THE World University Rankings (WUR) are possibly the best-known university rankings in the world. The expanded WUR 2021 edition includes over 1,500 ranked research-intensive universities, out of 25,000 universities globally, that met the THE eligibility criteria and applied for assessment.
This latest distinction comes in the wake of the University’s 5-Star Institutional Rating by the QS Intelligence Unit in its 2020 audit, along with only 50 other universities globally. It also expands upon UNIC’s most recent ranking achievements in both the QS World University Rankings (106th in Emerging Europe and Central Asia Region) and the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (42nd in the world in the core area of Quality Education). The latter are the first to measure the success of universities in delivering the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The University of Nicosia is also the first university in the European Union to receive a 5-star rating for Online/Distance Learning. This distinction was awarded following an assessment by the QS Intelligence Unit, a leading, independent, global university-rating agency. UNIC is the first university globally to receive triple accreditation for its online learning quality.
