ESOFT METRO CAMPUS’s GRADUATION CEREMONY CELEBRATES SUCCESS OF 1,700+ GRADUATES
View(s):The Annual Graduation Ceremony of ESOFT Metro Campus was held at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Hall (BMICH) on the 26th and 27th of September 2022. A total of 1,700 students graduated at this year’s event and the successful students received their awards for Higher National Diplomas (HNDs), Post Graduate Diplomas, Top-up degrees, MBA and MSc programmes from Pearson BTEC, London Metropolitan University (UK) and Kingston University (UK).
In addition to the conferring of degrees, batch tops and students who excelled with extraordinary performance were recognised and awarded with gold medals and special awards in their respective programmes. The two-day event was held as four sessions and each was graced by distinguished chief guests: Session 01 – Mr. Piyumal Wickramasinghe (Chief Distribution Officer – Softlogic Life Insurance PLC), Session 02 – Mr. Asela Wickramasooriya (Chief Transformation Officer – Aitken Spence PLC), Session 03 – Mr. Sampath Thrimavithana (Head of Human Resources – Virtusa Pvt Ltd) and Session 04 – Prof. Deepthi Bandara (Senior Professor – University of Peradeniya).
The event was further adorned with special guests representing their respective universities: Dr Hazel Messenger (Associate Professor / Academic Liaison Tutor, Guildhall School of Business and Law – London Metropolitan University), Ms. Premila Paulraj (Director – Employability & Qualifications – Pearson South Asia), Prof. Bal Virdee (Head of Communications Technology Research Centre – School of Computing and Digital Media – London Metropolitan University) and Mr. Paul Bullock (Senior Lecturer – Guildhall School of Business and Law – London Metropolitan University).
