AOD hosted its annual Graduate Exhibition, ‘360 One’ at the Colombo Innovation Tower from the 1st to the 4th December
View(s):The opening night was held on Thursday, when AOD’s emerging talent showcased their ideas and designs to industry professionals. Ms Lisa Whanstall, Deputy British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Chief Guest for the Event, officially inaugurated ‘360 one’, and noted the novel ideas about substantivity, technology and recycling materials that were expressed through the Exhibition. The night culminated with felicitating AOD’s top students for excellence.
The event also marks a partnership of over a decade between AOD and Northumbria University School of Design. The more than a hundred AOD graduates showing their work at the event come from a variety of degrees affiliated with Northumbria University including Fashion and Design, Interior Architecture and Motion Graphics and Animation.
The event also gives the graduates both local and international exposure to their creative work, giving them a headstart in the industry and a chance to explain their ideals and interact with industry professionals. From the 2nd of December onwards, the event was also open to visitors eager to see Sri Lanka’s emerging creative talent.
