Four additional records on fourth day
Swimmers of Holy Family Convent (HFC) Bamabalapitya, Wycherley and Gateway International Schools Colombo and Visakha Vidyalaya all established records on the penultimate day yesterday at the 47th Sri Lanka Schools Swimming Championship being held at the Sugathadasa Pool.
The highlight of them was, national swimmer Ganga Seneviratne, clocking 33.60s in the girls U20 50m backstroke. Seneviratne, who’s team is Visakha, was the leading team well ahead with 259 points. Other record breakers were – Jessie Senevirathne from HFC, Anusara Abeygoonawardana from Wycherley and Hiruki de Silva of Gateway Colombo.
