• DRUGS & DEPRESSION ARE HUNTING YOUR CHILDREN

A disastrous outbreak of a drug known as “ICE” is destroying the young lives of our country. There are also many other varieties of dangerous drugs, some of them come in a very friendly appearance such as a toffee that comes hunting for our children. Many young children are under severe depression. The unwise pressure oriented by parents have led to the accumulation of depression into many youngsters. Today, we see seventeen (17) year olds suicide due to the inability of handling a relationship break up. Not only youngsters but also many parents commit suicide or struggle with a high level of mental stress and depression caused due to the deficiency of life battling skills. Furthermore, pornography is greatly distracting young children and have taken them to slavery. Sri Lanka tops the world list of watching pornography.

The previous generations of politicians have entirely ruined this country and made it a terrifying place to live in. Even though you may send your child abroad, the drug disaster, clubbing, gambling and prostitution are very high in those countries as well. Whilst I was a young student in Australia, we used to go to brothel houses frequently as prostitution is legalised in those countries. Therefore, do not think that things will flow smoothly just because you have sent your child abroad. Once, when I was in the USA, we had a counselling session for a highly educated couple who worked for NASA. Yet, they failed to negotiate life’s battles. Life is a serious battle. We must make sure we equip our children as well as ourselves as parents with life transformational life battling skills.

The Sunday Times together with TV Derana, both of which have a big heart towards saving the next generation have come forward to deploy the biggest ever operation in order to save our children from Drugs, Depression and Distractions. This is where I step in and collaborate with TV Derana and The Sunday Times to visit the schools and universities in order to conduct a powerful life changing coaching program for O/L, A/L, University Students and their parents on real life battling skills. This is a programme which I do completely free of charge, I do it without charging a single cent, I do it with utmost love and concern to save the next generation.

I am a past pupil of St. Joseph’s College – Colombo 10. I was a brilliant student in school. All my teachers expected me to become an engineer as I was excellent in my mathematical skills. Yet, my entire youth was destroyed as a result of consuming drugs and my sexual cravings. Ultimately, I was diagnosed as a depressed, mentally ill patient at a very young age and I was treated at three mental hospitals including Angoda National Mental Hospital.

There is no point in attempting to heal a wound once it has spread all over the body, we might as well prevent it before it spreads – “PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE”. My innocent father suffered for more than twelve (12) years to save me from the hell that I was in with drugs, prostitution and depression. I pray that no parent ever encounters this heartbreaking pain that my innocent father went through. I get calls not only from parents who live in Sri Lanka but also from those who live abroad, even foreign parents seek help to restore the lives of their children as they have completely lost their lives.

Parents are extremely keen on pushing their children towards their academic qualifications, they completely forget that the most important areas that need development are the life battling skills of their children. Unless, your child will face the same struggles that you faced or maybe even more once they become adults. Struggles due to extensive job pressure, never ending responsibilities, relationship issues, losing loved ones, financial battles, hurtful feelings and many more which could simply knock you down mentally if you do not know how to battle them.

This is the importance of making sure they are equipped with the necessary life skills such as self realisation, focused development, anger management, emotional gearing, overcoming procrastination, defeating isolation, inferiority management, ego management, overcoming temptation and many others which we intend to coach during this programme.

Show this to the principal or head of your child’s school or university and obtain this valuable life coaching programme for their school and do your part in saving the future of your children. Since my time is limited, we will not be able to cater to all the schools that request this life transforming programme but we together with Derana TV and the Sunday Times will continue this worthy cause as far as we could.
