APIIT breaks through the international debate awards

The well designed and tailor-made programme is designed to meet specific needs of the profession enabling students to excel locally or globally.
The LLB has 26 modules on offer, including 10 core modules. With the legal profession increasing in popularity, new areas within the industry emerge. APIIT strives to keep students updated and in-line with international requirements. APIIT is proud to have introduced a digital LLB pathway which aims to capitalize on the highly innovative and rapid development of the information age and its intersection with the legal practice.
With local and international links and affiliations, students who study law at APIIT are in for more than a classroom education. Students are encouraged to pursue interests outside the classroom and are mentored to take part in competitions.
Students have had the opportunity to take part in two international competitions this year, and thanks to the mentoring, coaching and high standards of education, emerged victorious in both!
University of Malaysia Terengganu Debate Competition 2022
Two Teams representing Moot Debate and Mock Mediation Society of APIIT Law School, successfully participated in the International Tamil Debate Competition organised by the University of Malaysia Terengganu, and emerged champions beating 46 University teams representing Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and India. The winning team comprised of Mayureshan Sathiyaseelan, Pirathayinie Sriragavarajan, Saishruthe Thayaparan and Khowshigan Mathiyalagan.
The second edition of the competition Piala Debat Tamil Andrangasaba was organized by University of Malaysia Terengannu in collaboration with Indian Cultural Unit – Malaysia, Tamil Siragugal- India, Thigada Chakra- Sri Lanka and Baratham Panpaatu Kalaham- UMT.
The second team of APIIT Law School comprised of Mohammed Shadhique Akeela Banu, Venuja Ketheeswaren, Danushan Sujeevan and Keziah Lakshi Logaraj was ranked among the top sixteen. Both teams were coached by Niksalan Krishnapillai.
