No A/L tuition or seminars after January 17
View(s):Tuition classes, seminars, and workshops related to the upcoming GCE Advanced Level examination will be prohibited from midnight on Tuesday, January 17 to February 17, Examinations Commissioner-General Amith Jayasundara has announced.
The 2022 Advanced Level examination will be held from January 23 to February 17 at 2,200 examination centres across the country.
The Examinations Department has also requested the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to refrain from imposing scheduled power cuts during the period from one week before the exams begin till the last day. The department said it had received a positive response from the CEB.
The department also said it was taking measures to avoid any disturbances that could occur during the examinations due to the local council election campaign.
Mr. Jayasundera said examination candidates who wanted to make changes with regard to a subject, medium, or name in the admission cards, should access the website onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.
“It should be noted that only one attempt of revision will be given to each candidate. Moreover, revision of name and the National Identity Card number in the database will only be permitted subject to a formal inquiry,” he said, noting that the deadline for changes ends at midnight on January 18.
The National Identity Card issued by the Department of Registration of Persons, a valid passport, or a valid driving licence will be accepted as a legally acceptable document to prove the identity of a candidate at this examination.
